The opposite of this is agenda-driven description of historical events, where the sources are less important, while directives from people and groups, often financially strong, are allowed to be decisive. The result is quasi-history unworthy of a democratic society. Much of the history teaching in Western schools and universities is driven by a political agenda. However we have heard enough of political correctness – we want to pursue historical correctness.
